Yay - there’s a new colour of PlayStation Vita on the way! Boo - it’s only coming to Asian markets! Sony Computer Entertainment Hong Kong revealed today the Ice Silver model of its powerful portable system, which is arriving in Asia on March 6th. There’s been no mention of a Western release, but maybe Sony will reveal that during their Feburary 20th PlayStation conference. In fact, it would be really funny if this was all they announced, leaving PS4 hopefuls sadly disappointed.
Of course, another way to look at this announcement is with frustration and anger. I mean, there are so many things Sony needs to focus on if they want PlayStation Vita to be successful, such as exclusive games and cheaper memory cards, but instead they chose to spend their valuable time simply changing the colour. Nice one, Sony - I’m sure this will be the catalyst that sends Vita sales skyrocketting. Or maybe not.
