Ubisoft have released a new gameplay trailer for Assassin’s Creed IV but who cares right? Well a lot of people still care actually, Assassin’s Creed is still a big deal and Ubisoft has no plans of slowing down with it’s yearly instalments. You can hate on them all you want but at the end of the day, the sales speak for themselves so you can’t blame Ubisoft for all these sequels.
I myself was a fan of the series with the second game representing the peak in terms of overall quality, last year we got Assassin’s Creed III which was a bit rubbish in all honesty. Going into Assassin’s Creed IV I technically shouldn’t care by now but for what it’s worth, it’s looking like it will be a massive improvement over Assassin’s Creed III.
As you can see, Assassin’s Creed IV is a true next-gen experience thanks to it’s crab AI that moves out of your way as you get close. No word yet on whether the crabs have been motion captured or not.
So yeah, it’s Assassin’s Creed IV and I hate myself for saying this but it looks kind of cool compared to Assassin’s Creed III. Sure it’s a yearly sequel but to be honest, I’d rather be playing Assassin’s Creed over Call of Duty or FIFA.
