Seemingly out of nowhere Ubisoft have released a gameplay trailer for the upcoming Assassin’s Creed IV. Yes there’s a full on Assassin’s Creed title coming this year yet again, it’s all possible thanks to the nearly 1000 strong team working on the title. No that’s not a typo, there’s actually close to 1000 people working on this title.
Assassin’s Creed is basically dead to me these days, by Revelations I was starting to get burnt out and Assassin’s Creed III was one step forward, two steps back. Going into Assassin’s Creed IV I’m really hoping that Ubisoft have learnt some lessons from the last game and make Assassin’s IV not only the game that bring the series back to standard, but hopefully the game that finally tops Assassin’s Creed II.
Patrice Désilets who served as creative director on the first two Assassin’s Creed left Ubisoft after the second game before joining with THQ. As you all know THQ is no more these days therefore Patrice has very recently gone back to his old job at Ubisoft. Assuming Patrice is up for it and doesn’t see the series as something Ubisoft has run into the ground with it’s numerous sequels, I’d love to see Patrice be involved with the series once again.
