Nintendo have released an introductory trailer for the upcoming New Super Luigi U. It’s not exactly going to reveal anything you don’t already know but it’s always nice to see the game in action rather than always reading about it. For whatever reason Nintendo has decided to make 2013 “The Year of Luigi” and so Mario’s brother will be in the spotlight for once. Super Luigi U is an upcoming DLC add-on for New Super Mario Bros U, it features 82 levels from that game but in a new remixed form. It may sound lazy and pointless but those of you who played the remixed level in Super Mario 3D Land will know it’s far from it, it’s actually quite exciting.
Super Luigi U is what I consider to be Nintendo’s first real foray into the world of DLC and it certainly beats the stupid map packs you see on the other systems.
As you can see, Super Luigi U will also be available as a retail game at a later date and comes in a snazzy looking case. Amazon currently have it listed for £29.99 which is too much in my opinion. The digital download version of Super Luigi U does not yet have a price but expect it on the eShop for £10 cheaper if the American prices are any indication.
The eShop version of Super Luigi U will be available from June 20th whilst the retail version will arrive later on July 26th. I want the eShop version because it will be cheaper but that green case is all kinds of awesome.
