The latest Nintendo Direct stream has ended with it came a few new details and reveals. Nothing major of course as Nintendo is obviously saving the good stuff for E3 but there may be one or two bits of information that may interest you.
- Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games announced for Wii U.
- Trailer shown for the game.
- Sonic Lost World announced for Wii U & 3DS.
- It’s an action/adventure platform title.
- The game is a result of a “partnership” between Sega & Nintendo.
- There’s also a third Sonic game that will be revealed at a later date.
- Game & Wario release date announced - June 28th
- Trailer shown for the game.
- New Super Luigi U will be available as a retail title that does not require NSMBU to play.
- New Super Luigi U eShop download - June 20th.
- New Super Luigi U retail version - July 26th. (limited time offer)
- The Wonderful 101 release date - August 23rd.
- Pikmin 3 release date - July 26th
- Supports GamePad, Wii U Pro controller & Wii plus nunchuk combo.
There you have it then, nothing particularly amazing and the lack of a new Wonderful 101 trailer is disappointing. The Sonic announcement is a very interesting one, could Nintendo and Sega be co-developing a new game in the series?
I’m going to take a guess and suggest Nintendo will simply publish the new Sonic game. It’s still exciting news for Nintendo fans none the less as the last two Sonic games (Colours & Generations) were actually pretty good.
