Surgeon Simulator 2013 is a darkly humorous over-the-top operation sim game where players become Nigel Burke, an ordinary guy taking life into his own shaky hands, performing life-saving surgical manoeuvres on passive patients.
Developed initially in just 48 hours at the 2013 Global Game Jam in January, the full game released on Steam in April 2013 and has quickly become one of the sleeper hits of the year, with strong sales and unprecedented user engagement including 1MM Let’s Play videos uploaded to YouTube, generating over 100MM video views.
