The gates of Hell are open and the dead are walking the streets. That’s the premise of Nightmare in Northpoint, the upcoming Sleeping Dogs DLC that arrives on October 30th. We don’t have a lot of info on the Halloween-appropriate pack, but we do have a brand new teaser trailer.
While plenty of recent games have introduced the walking dead as part of their add-on-content, Nightmare in Northpoint looks a little different, with supernatural beings and ancient Chinese magic. There’s nothing wrong with zombies, but it’s nice to see a developer going one step further when introducing horror into their game. Nightmare in Northpoint sees our hero, Wei Shen, face off against the Smiley Cat’s army of Jiang Shi, gaining magical powers, and sending those minions of Hell back to the darkness from which they came.
Nightmare in Northpoint will be available on October 30th, for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Here’s the trailer:
