Shuhei Yoshida Demonstrates The PS4 User Interface

For whatever reason Sony have remained quiet regarding the PS4 user interface but during GamesCom they decided to finally show it off. As always do keep in mind that user interfaces are ever changing so what you see here isn’t necessarily exactly what you’ll get when the PlayStation 4 launches this November. Never the less it should provide you with a good idea of what Sony is aiming for.

The demonstration is brought to us by the legendary Shuhei Yoshida who is easily one of the most likeable personalities we have the games industry. If you haven’t already then I suggest you follow him on Twitter, he’s awesome. No seriously he’s a really cool guy.

As for the actual demonstration itself we can see that the PlayStation 4 user interface is very sleek, very blue and we also find out that Mr Yoshida won’t be topping the Killzone Shadow Fall leaderboards any time soon.

Easily the most impressive feature is just how quick and easy it is to join your friends online, Microsoft paved the way with their cross game invites on Xbox 360 but Sony are taking it to the next level. Check it out for yourself and let’s assume it will work just as smoothly come November as it does here.

The game you see in the video above is Killzone Shadow Fall and it’s that’s the game you’re looking to pick up then you may want to check out the upcoming bundle that Sony isn’t talking about just yet.

PlayStation 4 will launch on November 15th in North America and November 29th in Europe.
