Sony have released some screenshots and even a new trailer for the upcoming Killzone Mercenary, it’s looking pretty damn impressive to say the least. It’s developed by Guerrilla Cambridge whose previous works date back all the way to MediEvil on the PlayStation, it’s a capable studio to do Killzone justice.
Is it wrong that I’m more excited about this game than I am for Killzone Shadow Fall on PlayStation 4?
Sure it’s not going to single handedly save Sony’s struggling Vita but it’s going to make for an impressive showpiece for what the system can do. We’ll probably look back on the Vita someday and wonder if the system would of been more successful had more games like Killzone Mercenary been released on it. I’m totally bringing out the graphics whore in me when this one lands, Killzone Mercenary on that OLED display alongside a pair of headphones should be a real treat for us geeks.
Killzone Mercenary currently has a release date of September 17th in North America and the following day for Europeans.
