Until yesterday when the demo was revealed to press, Rockstar seemed to be keeping Grand Theft Auto 5 under the wraps. Today, Gamestop’s UK online store added GTA V to its books with March 1st, 2013 as its release date. In addition to its Friday release date next year, Grand Theft Auto will also be on the cover of Game Informer’s December issue. Andy McNamara, the editor-in-chief of Game Informer, recently sent out a tweet saying that he was being previewed the game. Game Informer’s upcoming issue seems sure to remove the veil of mystery from Rockstar’s next big gem.
As an interesting side note, Game Informer is owned by Gamestop. If Game Informer really has the scoop then maybe fans will finally learn who the new main character is as well as the identity of the middle-aged man shown in the trailers.
