With only a couple of months to go until launch, the promotional material for DmC: Devil May Cry is really ramping up. In the first of the developer diary videos, we got to see a couple of the characters and the techniques used to capture the actors’ performances. The second one gives us a look at a couple more, including Dante’s brother Vergil (who’ll be playable in the first DLC pack).
Unfortunately, as with the first video, it’s all presented in the same, amateurish style, which reminds me of a student horror film. Maybe it’s appropriate for the subject material, but I’d much prefer a straight, documentary-style behind-the-scenes look at the making of the game. I suppose Capcom were looking for something to help them stand out from the crowd.
Anyway, here’s the video. It’s still informative, but maybe not as much as some may like. DmC: Devil May Cry hits stores in January.
