Ultra Street Fighter IV is designed to be the most balanced version of Street Fighter IV yet although Capcom are giving fans the chance to break the game should they choose to. If you’ve ever played Hyper Fighting Street Fighter II on the PlayStation 2 or Xbox then you’ll know what I mean by that.
In Ultra Street Fighter IV, players will be able to select specific versions of their favourite characters for use during battle. What that means is that regular Street Fighter IV Sagat will be able to take on Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition Yun to see who is the most broken out of the two.
Street Fighter IV originally launched in 2009 and since then Capcom has been updating the game to provide balance updates so it’s easy to forget just how busted things used to be.
Ultra Street Fighter IV is currently due to arrive on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 as a paid DLC in June. The boxed retail version alongside the PC version will be available in August.
Do keep in mind that only Super Street Fighter IV and Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition owners will be able to update their game.
