Aliens Colonial Marines is out today and as always a launch trailer has been released. For one reason or another these trailers sometimes come a few weeks before the game actually launches, this one however has come bang on launch day. In case you’re wondering, no, this isn’t a sequel to 2010′s Aliens vs. Predator game. It’s a different game by a different developer, Sega just happens to be the publisher for both.
The fact that Aliens Colonial Marines is finally with us is something of an achievement as this game has been in the works since 2006. It’s never really been made clear what exactly caused the game to go through some kind of development hell but I can tell you Gearbox Software wasn’t as involved as you’d think. Word going round is that they only handled the multiplayer portion of the game whilst TimeGate Studios did the main game.
So yeah, Aliens Colonial Marines is out today and there’s a launch trailer to go with it. The game is being released on Xbox 360, PS3, PC and Onlive with a Wii U version arriving next month.
